
In recognition of CSOs continued efforts in strengthening accountability mechanisms within the sector while overall promoting good governance, the Authority is pleased to share the awarding of BCAS 2023 Certificates to the CSOs during the second CSOs quarterly meeting. The meeting was graced by the Honorable Commissioner of Anti-Corruption Commissioner, to reaffirm ACC's support to the CSOs in implementing and achieving highest standards of accountability. The meeting was attended by a total of 40 participants.
As vital stakeholders operating with public trust and resources, CSOs bear a profound responsibility to not only commit to these standards but also to ensure full compliance with relevant legal frameworks. In doing so, CSOs enhance their credibility, effectiveness, and impact in complementing government efforts and addressing societal issues through humanitarian and development work.The Authority is pleased to report that since the implementation of the BCAS initiative, there has been a notable improvement in governance and management practices across the CSO sector. Compliance levels have seen a substantial increase over the past three years, a result made possible through the active participation and cooperation of CSOs, government agencies and all relevant stakeholders.
